First of all we realize the value of relationships, we prioritize relationships with God, with each other and with our community. Any program that operates in SHBC Youth Ministry is focused on people and is a means to better those relationships. That being said we have a number of programs working on making our vision a reality.
WOW: Worship On Wednesday is a service geared towards giving our youth a significant expression of worship from their perspective. We believe worship is anything that gives God pleasure, and so when we gather at WOW God is worshiped through our joy and our fun and our centering on the word of God. Wednesday nights 7:00-8:30pm.
Merge: Bringing students together is the primary focus of merge. We have a monthly gathering where students can come together and have a great time in a fun and safe environment. Our merge planning team puts together events ranging from games nights to missing persons hunts to ski trips. NOTE: ALL STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BRING A FULLY COMPLETED "PARTICIPATION FORM" BEFORE THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND ANY OFF SITE YOUTH MINISTRY EVENTS. CLICK HERE FOR THE FORM.
Road Crew: We understand that we have been called to love one-another, and Road Crew is a service-based ministry intended to use the energy of our youth and their desire to put love into action. These service projects are centered on the Steele Heights/McLeod communities and beyond.
Campus: As we look at the community surrounding SHBC we have identified our schools as places where we can help meet needs. Our campus ministry is focused on meeting needs in our local schools.
